Day 1-4: Nairobi

Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place with some fascinating attractions. If you are interested in wildlife there is the beautiful Nairobi National Park, the world’s only urban game reserve, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where one can adopt a baby elephant and go and feed it and put it to bed, The Giraffe Centre where one can feed and learn about the Rothschild giraffe; for the shoppers, there are never ending incredible art, craft, jewelry, clothes, furniture etc. designers; for the social ones, the café culture, enormous array of restaurants and unbridled nightlife; for the historians, there is the National Museum and the Karen Blixen Museum.

Day 5-8: Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages, Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Resting at the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountain Range, in central Kenya's Laikipia County, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. It is also home to some of the last remaining northern white rhino in the world. Originally a working cattle ranch in colonial Kenya and now a pioneering wildlife conservancy, Ol Pejeta works to protect wildlife and provide a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. The Conservancy is a popular safari destination and is home to the renowned ‘Big Five’ as well as a wide selection of other African animals including zebra, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, jackal, serval, hyena, vervet monkey, and many more. Visitors can look forward to an assortment of outdoor activities such as horse rides, game walks, and nocturnal game drives.

Day 8-11: Emboo River Camp, Masai Mara

Maasai Mara safarisThe Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife area. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Masai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, game walks and hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Overnight: Emboo River Camp

Located in a river bend within the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Emboo River is the perfect spot to enjoy a luxurious holiday in nature. The luxury tents have floor-to-ceiling views over the river and feature modern amenities. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch in the bush or private dinners and drinks on the terrace.
